WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A local nonprofit that uses horses to help children and adults with disabilities, as well as veterans, got a huge helping hand as they were given $20,000 on stage at the sold-out Cross Canadian concert in McLane Stadium over the weekend.

REACH Therapeutic Riding Center was gifted the money on behalf of Cross Canadian Ragweed and the Bowen Family Foundation.

Randy Ragsdale, drummer of Cross Canadian, made the presentation on stage and talked about his beloved son, JC, who passed away from an epilepsy disorder at the age of 24.

JC, he said, used equine therapy.
