COPPERAS COVE, Texas (KWTX) - A wrong-way driver and a passenger were killed in a deadly and fiery wreck in Copperas Cove Wednesday evening.

Copperas Cove police officers responded to the crash involving multiple vehicles in the 700 block of U.S. Highway 190 at about 7:40 p.m. on Aug. 27.

Callers reported that one of the involved vehicles was on fire. First responders arrived and began treating the injured and working to contain the fires.

Several people required medical attention. One individual was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, another was flown by medical helicopter, and a third was treated at the scene and released to family.
