MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — All northbound lanes of Interstate 79 are closed due to a truck being stuck in the road.

According to the Monongalia County 911 communications center, a tractor trailer is broken down in the middle of the road near the Goshen Road exit at mile marker 146, which is south of Morgantown.

As of 11:30 a.m., all northbound lanes are closed and have been for several hours. West Virginia 511 has identified incident as a vehicle accident, but comm center officials simply said the truck is stuck in the road.

According to the Monongalia County comm center, the West Virginia Division of Highways is working on scene.

Traffic data shows that vehicles are backed up past the Marion County line as of 11:30 a.m.
