A mass shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis has left at least two children dead, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports.
The shooting took place at around 8 a.m. local time at Annunciation Catholic School and church on Wednesday morning, Aug. 27. By 9:35 a.m. local time, the City of Minneapolis issued a statement saying the “shooter is contained” and there is “no active threat to the community at this time.” Law enforcement sources said that the shooter is dead, as well.
The full extent of the injuries is still unknown. Initial reports from a first responder said there were “at least 20 victims,” but without clarifying the nature of their injuries.
In emergency dispatch audio, medics said they transported one 10-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the head. They also said
