The City of St. Albert has stated that the city-hosted watch parties for the Oilers 2025 Finals matchup versus the Florida Panthers was a success, despite losing money overall.

The total budget for the events was set at $70,000, equating to $10,000 for each game, assuming that the series went to a full seven games.

The series was closed out by Florida in six games, and the city was underbudget on the six watch parties hosted, leading to a total cost of approximately $48,000. These costs were partially offset by $19,000 in sponsor contributions and food truck revenue, bringing the net cost for the city down to just $29,000, under five grand per game.
