Most of Edmonton’s outdoor pools are shutting down for the season after the September long weekend.

The Borden, Fred Broadstock, Mill Creek and Wîhkwêntôwin outdoor pools will be closing for the season on September 2, with the Queen Elizabeth pool remaining open with a combination of public swim, lane swim and rentals until September 14.

After September 1, timed entries will no longer be avaiable and drop-in admission is only available on a first come, first served basis for the Queen Elizabeth outdoor pool only.

After September 14, aquatics staff will start the shutdown procedures, including inspections and beginning the winter preparation process.
