DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- A man has been arrested in Darlington County after the sheriff's office alleges an elderly woman in his care for the past decade died and was sitting in feces and urine.

Jason Rackley was arrested Wednesday and charged with abuse of a vulnerable adult. He was booked into the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center, where he awaits a bond hearing.

EMS was dispatched on Aug. 11 to a residence on Milton Street in the Hartsville area for an elderly woman having medical issues, the sheriff's office said. She was transported to a hospital for evaluation and later died on Aug. 17.
