INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts will not trade Anthony Richardson after naming veteran quarterback Daniel Jones the starting quarterback for the 2025 season.
Colts general manager Chris Ballard rebuffed a question about teams asking to trade for Richardson, reiterating his belief that Richardson can still develop into a starting quarterback in the NFL down the road.
“We’re not trading him,” Ballard said.
Trading Richardson before the end of the season would save approximately $5 million in dead cap space, according to overthecap.com .
