KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice will be out for several weeks to start the season as part of his NFL suspension, multiple NFL insiders reported Wednesday.

Last month, Rice admitted to one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and one count of racing on a highway causing bodily injury. On top of his legal consequences, Rice also faced discipline from the NFL.
Reports circulated that his disciplinary hearing wouldn't be until Sept. 30 , which would have made Rice eligible to play for the first few weeks of the season.
