Forget room service — the Kimpton Armory Hotel in Downtown Bozeman served up cuddles and kisses from rescue cats and dogs at the second annual Dog Adoption Day to celebrate International Dog Day.

Tuesday’s adoption event took place in the Armory lobby and was in partnership with Prairie Song Rescue — a nonprofit animal sanctuary and rescue organization in Wilsall.

Jessica Zimmerman, director of Prairie Song Rescue, said the sanctuary is the only all-animal rescue operation in Montana.

“We do everything from emus to yaks — but predominantly our work is with reservation dogs, tribal land dogs and also dogs from kill shelters in this state and other states,” Zimmerman said while holding a 2-month-old white and brown puppy named Phineas.
