(NewsNation) — It's a star-studded battle of the jeans, and Gap — with some help from global girl group KATSEYE — is behind the latest salvo.

In an already viral ad released last week, the "Touch" singers are shown in head-to-toe denim, dancing to Kelis’ "Milkshake." The 90-second video is an homage to the early aughts, the resurgence of low-rise pants and Gap's history of letting dancers do the denim selling.

Maybe most importantly, the "Better in Denim" campaign showcases the diverse group as its stars, painting a portrait of its multinational members in the Y2K-laced ad.

"Their namesake, KATSEYE, is inspired by a cat’s eye gemstone which radiates a variety of colors — much like their members. Each one unique. Together, an unstoppable force," GAP wrote on its campaign site. • KATSEY
