A nice reinforcement of refreshing air is on the way for the holiday weekend.

Isolated storms are working their way across the region Wednesday afternoon, but by sunset, rain chances diminish. Thursday looks brighter and a touch warmer, nearing 80 degrees (but likely not quite making it there), before clouds thicken again Thursday night.

A cold front sweeps through with a round of widespread showers and a few thunderstorms to round out the week on Friday. It will not be a washout, but many spots will pick up 0.5 to 1" of much needed rain.
