Dayton Children's to run NICU at Kettering Health Main Campus this fall

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton Children’s and Kettering Health have announced an agreement for the newborn intensive care unit (NICU).

Now, Children’s will run and manage the NICU at Kettering Health Main Campus. Children’s said this new “Dayton Children’s NICU” will work as a hospital within a hospital.

This effort aims to decrease maternal and infant mortality rates in the Miami Valley. Both hospitals shared excitement for this collaboration.

President of Kettering Health Main Campus, Adam Maycock, said this is a key step in keeping the mother and child together durning these critical initial days of the infant’s early life.
