TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) — Formal charges have been filed against a Millersburg, Ohio Amish woman accused of causing the deaths of her 4-year-old son and 45-year-old husband during an incident at Atwood Lake.

The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office said Ruth Miller, 40, has been charged with two counts of aggravated murder, two counts of domestic violence and one count of child endangerment.

Authorities on Tuesday identified the victims as Vincen Miller, 4, and his father, Marcus J. Miller, 45, both of Millersburg.

Deputies said the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. Saturday near Atwood Marina West, when Miller intentionally drove a golf cart carrying three of her children — a daughter, 15, and twin sons, 18 — into the lake. All three children escaped without injury.
