ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Police in Adams County are warning Pennsylvanians of the recent rise in 'missed jury duty' phone scams.

According to a Facebook post from the Eastern Adams Regional Police Department, residents are advised to be alert for email and phone scams that are occurring in the area.

The post says on August 26, a resident received an email from a scammer impersonating the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, informing him that he had a warrant for his arrest because he "missed jury duty."
