DERBY, Conn. (WTNH) — A 19-year-old man was arrested on Saturday in connection with a street takeover that occurred on Aug. 24, 2024.
According to the Derby police, participants of the 2024 takeover approached and taunted officers while vehicles raced and drove recklessly. One of the vehicles was identified and later stopped by Connecticut State Police.
The driver, identified as 19-year-old Dominic Guerrera of Wolcott, was later issued an arrest warrant. He was taken into custody on Saturday.
Guerrera was charged with the following: • Reckless driving • Racing, contests, demonstrations of speed or skill or street takeovers • Disorderly conduct
He was released on a $40,000 bond pending his next court appearance.
