MARQUETTE, MI – A missing 69-year-old woman has been found dead in the Upper Peninsula.
According to WLUC-TV , the body of Eileen Mandel was located near a wooded two-track road in Marquette County’s Negaunee Township at 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday. No foul play is suspected.
The Marquette Police Department had been looking for Mandel since she was reported missing from her home in Marquette on Sunday evening.
Police said previously that Madel had made “concerning statements to family in the past” and may have been in an altered mental state.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Michigan Department of Natural Resources and UPHS-Marquette EMS also assisted in the search.
