Minneapolis Catholic School Shooter Identified as Robin Westman; Police Investigate Disturbing Online Videos

The gunman who carried out a deadly attack on Annunciation Catholic School has been officially identified as Robin Westman, a man in his early 20s. Westman opened fire on the church during a back-to-school Mass, killing two children and injuring 17 others before taking his own life.

The attack, which occurred around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday was described by Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara as an act of “sheer cruelty and cowardice.” Westman, who was not previously known to law enforcement, was armed with a rifle, a shotgun, and a handgun.
