BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Dogs with the Bakersfield Search and Rescue K9 Unit trained at the Lerdo facilities.

Officials said this gives the dogs access to real-world training environments and offers critical preparation for the team.

Many hours are dedicated to training to ensure that K9 partners and volunteers are ready for Human Remains Detection missions.
