The 49ers continue to replenish their depleted wide receivers room.

San Francisco is signing veteran wideout Marquez Valdes-Scantling, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Wednesday, citing Valdes-Scantling's agents at National Sports Agency.

KPRC2's Aaron Wilson reported Tuesday night, citing a source, that Valdes-Scantling was deciding between the 49ers and the Pittsburgh Steelers .

Valdes-Scantling, 30, was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and in seven seasons with Green Bay, the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills and New Orleans Saints, caught 205 passes for 3,566 yards (17.4 Y/R) and 20 touchdowns.

His best season came in 2020 with Green Bay, where he recorded 33 receptions for 690 yards and six touchdowns.
