On Wednesday, Alabama Speaker of the House Nathaniel Ledbetter appointed State Rep. Troy Stubbs (R-Wetumpka) to Vice Chairman of the House Committee on County and Municipal Government.

The position was previously held by Debbie Wood, who resigned her seat earlier this summer.

“Rep. Stubbs has served on the House Committee on County and Municipal Government for the last several years, and his previous experience on the Elmore County Commission makes him the obvious choice to step into the role of vice chairman,” Ledbetter (R-Rainsville) said.
