Two teenagers are facing multiple charges in relation to a shots fired incident earlier this month that sent one to the hospital, according to a press release from the Cedar Rapids Police Department.

Police responded to the parking lot of the Union Apartment complex in the 4200 block of 21st Ave SW for a shots-fired report at 1:34 p.m. on Aug. 14.

A juvenile girl was taken in a personal vehicle to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries related to the shots-fired incident, according to the release.

On Aug. 18, Qwanell Beard, 17, and Artrell Beard, 16, were both arrested for violation of court-ordered placement and terms of probation.
