MARINETTE, Wis. ( WBAY /Gray News) - The mother of a 13-year-old boy with autism who died over the weekend after drowning in Wisconsin is speaking out, saying her child may have been bullied.
Officials said a 16-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man could face charges after Jakob Bowerman was pushed off of Government Pier in Marinette.
Authorities said Jakob was pushed off the pier last Wednesday afternoon. He died Saturday night from his injuries after being on life support for several days.
Jakob’s mother, Taylor Singer, now wants to share her story and spread an important message.
Singer said police showed up at her house last Wednesday to tell her there had been an incident at Government Pier involving her son.
