CONNECTICUT (WTNH) — Flags across Connecticut will be lowered to half-staff in honor of the victims of the deadly school shooting in Minneapolis on Wednesday, Gov. Ned Lamont announced.

Two children, aged 8 and 10, are dead and at least a dozen other people are injured after a shooting at the Annunciation Catholic Church, according to police.

Students and parishioners were attending a mass inside the church when shots were fired from outside the building.

To honor the victims of the shooting, flags at the Connecticut State Capitol, other state-operated buildings, grounds and facilities across the state will fly at half-staff until sunset on Sunday.
