LINCOLN, Neb. —

Gov. Jim Pillen has ordered all U.S. and state flags to be flown at half-staff to honor the victims of the deadly Minnesota school shooting.

Two children and over a dozen others were injured when a shooter opened fire during Mass at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis on Wednesday.

The shooter died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

“Suzanne and I are horrified by the news coming out of Annunciation Catholic Church and School in Minneapolis,” said Pillen. “We are absolutely heartbroken for the families and community. We will continue to pray for the students, teachers, and others affected by this senseless act of violence.”
