ST. LOUIS — The company that leased space locally to the now-shuttered Bar K, a combination bar and dog park, alleges the brand's founder owes it more than $245,000 in rent.

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday, Green Street 4565 McRee Investors LLC says Lieb Dodell personally guaranteed the business would pay rent as part of a settlement agreement related to the landlord's attempt to evict the business last year .

Dodell and Dave Hensley started Bar K in Kansas City around 2017, as a place for people and their dogs to hang out. The duo eventually opened in St. Louis — at 4565 McRee in St. Louis' Forest Park Southeast neighborhood — and Oklahoma City.
