BEDFORD — The City of Bedford is reminding residents of the correct procedures for brush pickup to ensure timely collection.

According to a public notice from the city, brush must be placed at the street for pickup because many alleys are too narrow for the brush truck. The city’s brush truck is in daily operation, which has improved response times for collections.

Residents must call the city at 812-279-9222 to request brush pickup. If residents notice a brush pile that has been at a location for an extended period, they are encouraged to call and report its location. The city will then pick up the brush and leave a tag to remind residents to call for future pickups.
