Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: The Buffalo Bills have signed a former player for a second tour of duty with the team.

This time, it’s safety Jordan Poyer, who returns to the organization in a role on the practice squad after spending the 2024 season with the Miami Dolphins.

Poyer, 34, spent seven seasons with the Bills from 2017-23, teaming with Micah Hyde to form the greatest safety duo in franchise history. Poyer was a first-team All-Pro in 2021 and made the Pro Bowl in 2022, appearing in 107 games with the Bills, all of which he started. He made 682 tackles, 22 interceptions, 48 passes defended, eight forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries and 11 sacks during his Bills career. Last year with Miami, Poyer started 16 games, finishing with 98 tackles and three passes defended. H
