JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — A man was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and public intoxication in Johnson City on Tuesday night.
According to the Johnson City Police Department (JCPD), officers responded to 607 N. Roan Street shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday on a disturbance call.
Witnesses had reportedly told police an intoxicated man "had pointed a pistol at a victim and demanded money," according to the JCPD.
The man was identified as Jackie Dickens, 35, of Jonesborough. Dickens was located a short distance away, where he was found with the described weapon and had a "strong odor of alcohol," the JCPD said.
Dickens was charged with aggravated robbery and public intoxication and taken to the Washington County Detention Center, according to the JCPD.
