SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - School is already underway for Sheldon Middle School and East Elementary, but the Sheldon High School start date was pushed back to Tuesday, Sept. 2, due to ongoing construction.

The superintendent, Cory Myer, says there will be some growing pains this school year, before it’s complete.

Sheldon High School students will be in some brand new spaces for the 2025-26 school year.

The groundbreaking for the renovations at Sheldon High School was last year, expanding the school’s square footage around the current exterior.

“We’re building on the East and West sides. In addition, there are additional classrooms, and then we’ll actually do the project in 4 phases,” said Myer.
