AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Across the river, Aiken neighbors and businesses are reporting yellow water with grit and sediment coming through their faucets, causing headaches and questions.

This isn’t the first time the City of Aiken has been dealing with discolored water.

One month ago, crews flushed the system in response to brown water, and now they’ve had to do it again.

As demand has been high in the summer months, water pressure has increased, which has mixed sediment into the pipes.
