FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - Sometimes, it’s the little things that make the biggest impact. In Franklin County, residents are finding joy in an unusual way ... by discovering tiny toy ducks tucked into corners, railings and shop windows.
The idea started with Tyler Moore, who first hid ducks for friends and family after being inspired by trading trinkets at a festival. Once she saw their smiles, she decided to expand the effort to the entire community.
Now, Moore hides dozens each day at Bridgewater Plaza, sometimes placing 50 to 100 ducks around the area. What began as a small gesture has grown into a community-wide tradition embraced by both children and adults.
“Surprisingly, adults really like these ducks,” Moore said. “Shop owners tell me they love it when I drop some off.”
