NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A growing safety concern in Germantown has local residents banding together to call for change.

Two pedestrians have been struck by vehicles in the area of Morgan and 3rd Avenue N—one even died—and now residents are gathering again to protest after they say the city hasn't done enough about it.

Protestors first gathered a few months ago after 77-year-old Dot Dobbins was killed in the Germantown intersection while walking her dog. Now, after another woman was hit, neighbors are asking the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure to make significant changes.

After Dobbins was killed, NDOT installed flashing beacons at the crosswalk, but residents say they aren't enough. Instead, they said it's going to take some serious traffic calming
