LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Reaction poured in from all corners Wednesday after at least two children were shot and killed inside a church and school in Minneapolis.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear made the following statement on social media:

"American children should be safe and feel safe in their schools, yet today our country faces more heartbreak as we learn of another school shooting, this time in Minneapolis. Britainy and I are praying for the families, students and teachers affected. To my friend, Gov. Tim Walz, Kentucky is holding all of Minnesota in our hearts."

According to our sister station KARE, two children were killed and 17 others were injured after a gunman opened fire at Annunciation Church. Authorities said the gunman died by suicide.
