KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Funeral arrangements for Kansas City, Kansas Police Officer Hunter Simoncic have been set for next week, according to the police department.

KCKPD said the public funeral will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Children's Mercy Park, the home of Sporting KC. The service will begin at 10 a.m. with parking lots opening at 7:30 a.m. and gates opening at 8 a.m.

An official law enforcement procession will also take place about 30 minutes after the service. The details for the processional are yet to be confirmed; KCKPD said that information will be released once everything is confirmed.
