ANDERSON, Ind. — The Madison County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a deadly crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon near Anderson.

Police say the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on State Road 9, near Hartman Road, when a Lincoln Town Car attempted to cross State Road 9.

The vehicle was struck by a northbound Jeep Wrangler.

The driver of the Lincoln, 93-year-old Robert Sullender, died at the scene.

The driver of the Jeep was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.
