BEAUMONT, Texas — A deadly mass shooting at a Minnesota Catholic school that killed two children and injured at least 17 more has drawn prayers and condolences from church leaders in Southeast Texas.

Minneapolis police said the gunman began firing from outside the church, shooting through windows as students attended an all-school mass. Two children, ages 8 and 10, were killed, and 17 others, including 14 children, were injured, according to law enforcement officials who spoke at a Wednesday morning press conference.
