CLEARFIELD, Pa. (WTAJ) — High school students across north central Pennsylvania are getting the chance to turn snowplows into moving works of art while promoting road safety this winter.

PennDOT announced it is accepting applications for its annual Paint the Plow program, which invites public and private school students to design original murals on plow blades. This year’s theme is “Don’t race. Allow some space,” reminding drivers to keep six car lengths behind plows, stay out of blind spots and avoid passing or weaving between plows.
