MONROE, La. (KNOE) - KNOE is mourning the unexpected death of our news colleague, Dorothea Celeste Wilson.

Dorothea is remembered as a loving friend and coworker who passionately served the community through her professionalism and storytelling.

She joined KNOE in early 2023 after earning a master’s degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Dorothea most recently worked for Louisiana Public Broadcasting as well as WAPT in Jackson, Mississippi.

WAPT reports Dorothea died from a heart attack on Aug. 26.
