EVANS, Ga. (WJBF)- Several Columbia County homeowners have had a series of issues with brown water in recent weeks.

County leaders have now called for a Water Quality Task Force to address this problem.

This is not a new problem for Columbia County, but county leaders have installed this task force to provide more transparency and help to homeowners.

We got an exclusive look about what the response process looks like.

The summer months are where homeowners require more water for their plants, yards, bathing, and drinking.

That requires the county to maximize their resources.

“When we have people using a lot of water, we have to turn the pumps up a little bit. When you add that additional pressure or surge to the line, sometimes it’ll dislodge whatever may be in that line," said Colum
