ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. —

A part of US-131 will be closed until Friday, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), after a semi-truck hit and damaged an overpass . The truck reportedly hit the 146th Avenue overpass, south of the Kent County line on southbound US-131, on Tuesday afternoon.

This leaves vehicles rerouted to local roads like Clyde Park Avenue SW and S Division Avenue.

John Becker says Victors Home Solutions had just relocated to just north of 100th Street SW on Monday.

Employees of the full roof replacement company were looking forward to the quietness of Division.

“It's been quite a bit of traffic all morning,” the General Manager said. “We actually had a little accident this morning as well, so that added to the to the congestion of it.”
