LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - We saw a good scattering of showers and storms Wednesday and more of the same looks likely for several days ahead.

Overnight we will see temperatures falling into the low 70s except near the coast where it will be warmer. Thursday should look and feel similar to Wednesday.

By Friday the humidity will be higher and our rain chances climb back to the 40% range which is also normal for this time of year. We will continue to see scattered showers through the upcoming holiday weekend too.

Next week may bring a return of lower humidity and less rain, depending on whether or not a weak cold front can actually move through the area or not.
