Independent wrestler Stuart ' Syko Stu ' Smith is alert and communicating from his hospital bed after Raja Jackson , the son of UFC legend Quinton ' Rampage ' Jackson , went off-script and pummeled him during their match over the weekend, fellow wrestler Douglas Malo , who stopped Jackson's attack, told TMZ Sports .

"[Stu] remembers mostly what happened during the early parts of the day. He's talking a little bit. He's alert. He's still got some injuries that are very serious. Not, like, life-threatening serious, but, facial injuries, stuff like that," he said.

Malo told TMZ Sports that he also suffered some bruising while stopping Jackson's attack and believes he too could've seriously been injured.
