PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A shelter-in-place order has been issued at an apartment complex in Gresham amid ongoing law enforcement activity in the area, authorities said.

The shelter-in-place order was issued just before 3 p.m. for the Stark Street Crossings Apartments at 20433 SE Stark Street in Gresham, the Gresham Police Department said.

The investigation is regarding "a report of a wanted subject in an apartment at this location," police said.

"We are asking residents to shelter in place and others to avoid the area," Gresham police said in a social media post.

A different shelter-in-place was issued in Portland on Wednesday morning and has since been lifted.
