RIO BLANCO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Colorado Parks and Wildlife has concluded its search for an uncollared wolf they say was responsible for six attacks in Rio Blanco County.

Wildlife officials said they and the United States Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service-Wildlife Services, deployed a team to the county to lethally remove the wolf using a firearm on August 16.

They said the decision to lethally remove the wolf was due to “chronic depredation.”

CPW said between July 20 and August 16, five lambs and one ewe were found dead.
