OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) -- With the Opelousas Budget Committee wanting to focus on improving water in the city, city engineer William Jarrell presented what areas of the water system need to be improved and the critical need to keep equipment in those facilities up and running.
Following Mayor Julius Alsandor's announcement of the city applying for a loan from the Louisiana Department of Health to go towards the water plant, Jarrell reviewed the water improvement plan initially presented last year to say the same problems are still prominent.
