HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — The Guilford Little League softball team visited Gov. Ned Lamont (D) on Wednesday.
Guilford competed in the Little League Softball World Series earlier in August in Greenville, North Carolina after beating Maine in the New England Regional championship game.
While they didn’t win the championship, they celebrated their accomplishment back home in Connecticut. This was the first time Guilford won a regional tournament and advanced to the LLSWS.
"We had a great run there, we had a great experience, really, really tough competition, but it was all very well worth it, and we're really proud to represent the state in the process,” Guilford coach Andrea Klein said.
