President Donald Trump on Wednesday called for Democratic mega-donor George Soros and his son, Alexander, to face federal racketeering charges for supporting “violent protests.”

The Republican, in a post to his Truth Social site , did not specify which protests he believed Soros and his son had supported. But it is the most recent example of Trump using the power of his office to pursue retribution against political opponents.

"George Soros, and his wonderful Radical Left son, should be charged with RICO because of their support of Violent Protests, and much more, all throughout the United States of America,“ Trump wrote.
