FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Before you hit the weights or start your cardio, fitness trainer Rhonda Murphy says a proper warm-up can make all the difference.
In this week's Workout Wednesday, Murphy shares three simple moves to help loosen your joints and prepare your body for exercise.
Start with the shoulders
Roll your shoulders forward and backward to warm up the joints and improve mobility. "This really gets that shoulder warmed up," Murphy says.
Next, focus on the hips
Pull your toe up and stretch slowly to work on the hip hinge and hamstrings. "Take it nice and slow-no fast or bouncing movements," Murphy advises.
Finish with a cross-body stretch
