LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - It’s been almost a month since the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Medicaid rates were slashed , and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy providers are still handling the changes.

DHHS has stood by their claims that these rate cuts were necessary to align Nebraska with surrounding states, recently publishing an updated ABA page on their website with information regarding the rate change.

While DHHS says the rate changes will not impact access to ABA services in Nebraska, providers such as Brennan Behavior Group said the cuts are forcing them to make hard decisions regarding services they provide based on current reimbursement rates.
